A VIEW FROM THE FIELD - AERIAL TREE RISK ASSESSMENT FOR A SPLIT IN A TREE

Tree Awareness was called out to do an aerial tree risk assessment (ATRA) on a huge Dawn Redwood that is cracking at the top of the trunk. An ATRA is when an arborist climbs to ascend a tree to get a closer look at the problem area. Our plant healthcare tech suggested that Paul come out to do an aerial tree risk assessment to see if the tree could be saved. The ultimate outcome of the assessment is to recommend the removal of the tree based on the risk of failure and risk to surrounding structures.
