Like many of the neighborhoods around here, trees were planted as the houses were built with little regard for the proper tree for the proper space. Our issue was a pin oak that was getting way too big for the easement where it was planted.

Paul is incredibly knowledgeable. When he arrived for the estimate, he immediately knew all of my many trees by name; and told me helpful details about their lifespans, strengths/weaknesses, and benefits to wildlife.
I needed them to remove a fully dead tree that was within ten feet of my front windows, surrounded by several mature oak trees, and close to power lines.
The guys did a great job. It was so impressive to watch! Not a single twig fell on the holly bushes I planted this spring, even though they were only a few feet away from the tree. They cleaned up after themselves and finished the whole operation in about an hour. So amazing!

Paul and Kevin are amazing. Paul came out right away and we walked the property to discuss what I wanted done. He took his time and really listened to what I was hoping to accomplish. He is very knowledgeable and understood what I wanted and made some great recommendations. I also really appreciated his honesty as he explained why some things that weren’t necessary or shouldn’t be done. He then offered other solutions which worked out great.. I appreciated his knowledge and understanding of my vision and what could be done to achieve it. The team has been out twice already to do the majority of the work and will be out one more time as there were quite a few trees that needed to come down and a lot of work on existing trees and bushes. They were prompt, courteous, and did a fabulous job of cleanup. Other than the trees that are gone, you wouldn’t know they were even here. That says something for their level of professionalism- I am looking forward to next year and the next phase of work on the property. I have a Japanese Maple in my yard and it was looking a little shabby. Paul came out and shaped, and pruned it. I looked and had a hard time seeing where it had been cut, then I looked in the bed of his truck and it was overflowing with branches with red leaves. I couldn't believe how much how much came off and yet it looked completely natural. Then he explained all about the species of tree and how it needs to be handled. Extremely knowledgeable.

I first used Tree Awareness back in the 90’s to take out 2 overgrown trees at my property in West Deptford. Both very large, and very close to the house.
I used them again about 10 years ago for the same reason at my current property. When we had a wet heavy snow a few weeks ago, a tree that hangs over my roof and still has dead leaves on it, was so weighed down it was touching the roof, and the tree itself was leaning pretty precariously Towards the house.
When I saw today that we might be getting 11”-15” of heavy wet snow this weekend, I was in a panic. I called them, assuming that they were probably booked solid, and they were. After explaining my situation to the office manager, she said let me see what we can do. She responded quickly, and even though they were booked solid, she went out of her way to make it happen. She had a crew here within the hour. Mason and his crew were both very professional, and personable. They got the job done quickly, and perfectly.
I can honestly say after using them, 3 times now, that they are not only the best at what they do, but very professional, and accommodating. They go above and beyond. Their pricing is more than reasonable for the level of knowledge, and skill they possess.
I also like that they are very focused on the health of the trees on your property, and don’t look to talk you into cutting trees down that don’t necessarily need to come down. Instead, in this situation, they suggested trimming the over hanging limbs, and canopy back, to make it safe with this storm coming. They could have easily said “it needs to come down”, and charged me quite a bit more.
