Tree Awareness, Inc. is a small, family-run tree care company. We treat the information you share with us the way we treat the trees we work on — with respect, and with as light a touch as the job allows.

What we collect — and why.

When you reach out through our website, email, or phone, we collect only what we need to do our job well. That typically means:

  • Your name, phone number, email, and property address — so we can return your call and find the trees you want us to look at.
  • What you wrote in the message field — the description of the work, photos, or questions you sent.
  • How you heard about us — so we know which referral sources to thank.
  • Basic site analytics — aggregated, non-identifying numbers like which pages people visit and roughly where in South Jersey traffic comes from. We don’t look at individual visitors.

How we use it.

Everything we collect is used to respond to you, schedule work, and follow up after the job. Nothing more.

If you opt in to our newsletter (the “View From the Field” updates), we’ll add your email to that list so we can send you the occasional tree-care note from Paul. You can unsubscribe from any email we send with one click.

Who we share it with.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.

The only third parties that ever touch your data are the tools we use to run the business:

  • Our email provider (Mailgun) — delivers the email you send us through the contact form, and the email we send back.
  • Our website host — stores the website itself, including any form submissions until we’ve replied and recorded the job in our office.
  • Google Maps — embedded so you can see where our shop is. They have their own privacy practices for any embedded map you interact with.

That’s the whole list. We don’t use ad networks or behavioral tracking.

Cookies — the lightest possible touch.

The site sets a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary — things like remembering whether the contact form has been submitted, or keeping the page from breaking when you navigate. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

How long we keep things.

We keep contact-form inquiries and customer records for as long as we have an active relationship with you, plus the period our accountant tells us is required for tax and warranty purposes. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.

Your rights, and how to use them.

You can ask us at any time to:

  • See what we have on file for you.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong — a misspelled address, an old phone number.
  • Delete your information from our systems, except where we’re required to keep it (paid invoices, for example).
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter — either click the unsubscribe link in any email or just tell us.

Email treeawarenessoffice@aol.com with the request and we’ll take care of it.

Children’s privacy.

This site is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy.

If we update this policy, the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be flagged plainly — no fine-print tricks.

Thank you for trusting us with your trees, and with the small amount of information you share to make that possible.

Questions about your data? Call (856) 241-0489 or email treeawarenessoffice@aol.com. We’ll get back to you the same week.
